2. User Fees
   
   • DC can charge what is appropriate.
   • Average initial visit user fee $70, subsequent visits $30.
3. Workers Compensation
   
   • Need a MD referral for coverage.
   • DCs not accepting these referrals, therefore patient pays & then collects on own from WCB.
   • Occasionally can get coverage without referral, $32/visit.
   • Very political and currently in negotiations.
   • No x-ray coverage.
   • Treatment length determined case by case (6-12 wks).
4. Auto Insurance (private)
   
   • Need a MD referral for coverage.
   • DCs not accepting these referrals, therefore patient pays & then collects on own from insurance company.
   • Very political and currently in negotiations.
   • No x-rays covered.
5. Social Services
   
   • No coverage.
6. Veterans Affairs
   
   • Pays up to 20 visits/yr.
   • Call for pre approval of treatment.
7. RCMP
   
   • Covers 15 visits/year, can get another 12 visits with MD approval.
   • Initial visit pays full amount (up to $70), subsequent visit pays full amount (up to $30).
8. Private Insurance (Blue X)
   
   • Check coverage in advance.
   • Usually covers 80 % of chiro costs up to $350-$500.
   • Usually covers 80 % of orthotics cost.
9. Native Affairs
   
   • No coverage, currently re-evaluating program.
